RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Works closely with the Vice President - Human Resources to recommend and implement the vision and strategy for managing talent within the organization.
· Evaluates data and analytics related to the composition, capability and capacity of talent within the organization. Assists others in establishing meaningful ways to measure the overall effectiveness of talent management programs.
· Defines critical success factors that help employees perform well in jobs and identifies the specific behaviors required to succeed at different levels within the organization.
· Partners with key business stakeholders to identify, recommend and implement integrated performance management strategies that address defining expectations, goal setting, assessments, development planning, coaching and feedback.
· Aligns current talent with the business strategy and identifies optimal advancement opportunities for individuals. Identifies gaps that may require sourcing new talent, building talent capability and/or realigning talent.
· Provides the framework and tools to implement succession planning throughout the organization. Collaborates with key business stakeholders to evaluate the leadership bench in the organization by assessing performance and potential. Determines, at an individual level, opportunities for development and readiness for mobility. Determines successors for key roles in the organization, including key leadership positions, and assists in creating plans for implementation.
· Consults with the Director, Compensation and Benefits, Director, Employment Practices and Policy and the Director, HRSC in the creation of strategies for recruitment, selection and on-boarding programs.
· Directs the design, planning and implementation of corporate training programs and other human resources development products, programs and services. Approves new training and product delivery techniques and suggests enhancements to existing training programs and human resources products.
· Engages in vendor evaluation, selection and negotiation for talent management systems and processes on behalf of the organization. Maintains awareness of vendor plans and the potential impact of those plans on current and future functionality.
· Builds and maintains a strong functional team through effective recruiting, training, coaching, team building, performance management and succession planning.
· Performs a variety of budgetary and other administrative tasks related to the management of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
· High School Diploma or G.E.D. required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. SPHR or PHR certification preferred.
Experience:
· Five to eight years of progressively responsible human resources management experience desired.
· Proven experience developing training programs for multiple business units and locations from design through implementation and program evaluation.
· Supervisory experience required.
Knowledge:
· General understanding of employment, compensation, performance management, organizational planning and training and development concepts.
· General knowledge of human resources laws and regulations.
· Understanding of enterprise software, particularly HRIS and other talent management technologies (i.e., performance management, learning management and succession planning).
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint.

· Strong project management skills with experience in organizing, planning and executing projects from the envisioning stage through implementation.
