Announcing the Recipients of the
2012 Shawn T. Trares Graduate Student Award!
The Shawn T. Trares Graduate Student Award is a competitive graduate student award named in honor of our late colleague, friend, and member of the OD community. This award is intended to support one or more graduate students in Research Scholarship or OD Practice, and to encourage professional development and the exchange of OD knowledge and practice within the local community.
The winning team submitted an application for an OD Practice project that will directly benefit the local non-profit organization, Almost Home. While still in the early diagnostic phase, the project is expected to apply data gathering and measurement approaches and consultation skills to designing and implementing a client tracking system. The students will be receiving guidance from their faculty sponsor, Dr. Richard Harvey, and from STL-ODN professional member, Dr. Michael Cristiani of Cristiani Consulting Group, Ltd.
Each student has earned a free one-year membership to the STL-ODN. In addition, their chosen client organization, Almost Home, will benefit from the award of $1500 toward materials and supplies for the project. We will be updating you as this team progresses so stay tuned!
Please join the STL-ODN Executive Team in congratulating Drew, Nital and Liam!
