As organizations scope out OD and Talent strategies, large initiatives, and projects, they must navigate opportunities to leverage internal and external expertise for optimal success and impact for the business.  We will explore successful approaches for making sound decisions about when and how to use internal versus external OD talent, sharing approaches, lessons learned, and success stories. Karrie Carlin has extensive experience in both internal and external OD roles, and has guided clients in determining the OD resources needed for successful initiatives.

You will leave with specific ideas for:

  • Optimizing ways for your internal talent and external consultants to partner together to create the greatest value for the organization
  • Determining the right balance of internal and external expertise and when to partner externally to gain the greatest benefits and external perspective
  • Client examples, results, and lessons learned about internal and external partnerships.
  • The session will include dedicated opportunities for discussion. You’ll be invited to share your experience, questions and best practices.
